Dining setting shipped to Japan client
A Japanese client recently commissioned a dining setting for their
new house. The setting consisted of a dining table, set of dining
chairs and a coffee table.
The client has a personal interest in furniture design and "used
to deal in mid-century stuff back in the States.....think Eames,
Nelson, Noguchi, etc."
The design process occured via email, with drawings and images
easily being sent back and forth until the desired outcome was achieved.
The client wanted each piece of furniture to subtly relate to the
others, while being unique and interesting as an individual entity.
It also needed to be functional, and last for decades.
The entire set was packed into a single crate and shipped to the
client's home port of Miyazaki.
